Friends with Quality, not Quantity.
The World is so empty if one thinks only of the mountains, rivers, and cities; but to know someone who thinks and feels with us, and who, though distant is close to us in spirit, this makes the earth for us and inhabited garden.
People say that friends hold hands, but true friends don't need to, because they know that the other hand is always there.
One does not make friends. One recognizes them.
In life you throw a ball. You hope it will reach a wall and bounce back so you can throw it again. You hope your friends will provide that wall.
Never say you know a man till you have divided an inheritance with him.
